Privacy Policy
Last updated: June 22, 2026 · Effective: June 22, 2026
1. Who we are & what this covers
This Privacy Policy explains how Thomas Galicia Real Estate (“we,” “us,” or “our”) — the marketing website of Thomas C. Galicia, a licensed California real estate salesperson (DRE #01896556) affiliated with Compass (Compass California, Inc.) — collects, uses, and discloses personal information through this website (the “Site”). It applies to visitors of the Site. It does not cover the separate privacy practices of Compass, any former brokerage, the MLS, or any third-party website we link to.
2. Information we collect
2.1 Information you provide
We collect personal information only when you choose to send it to us through our inquiry form:
- Full name — so we can address you.
- Email address — to reply to your inquiry.
- Phone number (optional) — if you would prefer a call or text.
- Reason for reaching out (e.g., buying, selling, a specific listing, a marketing-package request, a 1031 exchange, or a general question).
- Your message — any details you choose to share.
- Your consent — we record that you checked the box agreeing to be contacted.
Please do not submit sensitive information (such as Social Security numbers, financial-account or health information) through the form. We do not request it and the form is not intended for it.
2.2 Information collected automatically
We do not use cookies, web-beacons, analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking technologies on this Site, and we do not build visitor profiles. When you submit the form or load the page, limited technical data (such as your IP address and browser type) may be processed by our service providers to deliver the page, load fonts, and transmit your message (see Section 4). The company that hosts the Site may keep standard server logs for security.
3. How we use your information
- To respond to your inquiry and provide the real estate information or services you request.
- To follow up about buying, selling, listings, marketing packages, financing questions, or a 1031 exchange you asked about.
- To keep records of our communications and comply with real estate, brokerage, and other legal obligations.
- To protect the Site and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling, and we do not use it for targeted advertising.
4. How we share your information
We share personal information only as needed to operate the Site and respond to you:
- Form delivery (FormSubmit). Inquiry submissions are transmitted through FormSubmit (a third-party form-relay service) and delivered to our email inbox (thomasgaliciarealestate@gmail.com, operated by Google). These providers process the data on our behalf to deliver your message.
- Web fonts (Google Fonts). The Site loads typefaces from Google Fonts; your browser’s request may transmit your IP address to Google to deliver those fonts.
- Our brokerage & transaction partners. If you become a client, we may share information with Compass and the professionals reasonably necessary to provide real estate services (for example, a transaction coordinator, escrow, or, where applicable, a co-representing agent), consistent with this Policy.
- Legal & safety. We may disclose information if required by law, subpoena, court order, regulator, or to protect rights, property, or safety.
- Business transfer. In a sale or reorganization of the business, information may be transferred subject to this Policy.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not “share” it for cross-context behavioral advertising, as those terms are defined under California law.
5. Cookies & tracking
This Site does not set advertising or analytics cookies and does not use tracking pixels or fingerprinting. Because we do not engage in tracking, we do not currently respond to browser “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals beyond our existing practice of not selling or sharing data. If we add analytics or other technologies in the future, we will update this Policy and provide any required notice or controls.
6. Data retention
We keep inquiry information for as long as needed to respond to you and to maintain records required by real estate, brokerage, tax, or other legal obligations (generally several years for transaction-related communications), after which we delete or de-identify it. You may ask us to delete your information sooner (see Section 7).
7. Your California privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the CPRA (enforced by the California Privacy Protection Agency), gives you the rights below. We extend the core of these rights to all visitors as a matter of practice.
- Right to know / access — what personal information we collected about you, the sources, purposes, and any disclosures.
- Right to delete — ask us to delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Right to correct — ask us to fix inaccurate personal information.
- Right to opt out of sale/sharing — we do not sell or share personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of; you may still confirm this with us.
- Right to limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect or use sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger this right.
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not deny service, charge a different price, or provide a different level of service because you exercised your rights.
Notice at Collection — categories & purposes
| Category (CCPA) | Examples we collect | Purpose | Sold / Shared? |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | Name, email, phone | Respond to your inquiry | No |
| Customer records | The contents of your message | Provide requested real estate info/services | No |
| Internet/network activity | IP address, browser type (via providers) | Deliver and secure the Site | No |
We do not collect the other CCPA categories (e.g., precise geolocation, biometric, financial-account, or sensitive personal information) through this Site.
How to exercise your rights
Email thomasgaliciarealestate@gmail.com with the subject “Privacy Request” and tell us what you would like to do. We will verify your request (typically by confirming the email or details on file) and respond within the time required by law (generally 45 days, extendable). You may use an authorized agent; we may ask for proof of authorization. There is no charge for a valid request.
8. Other U.S. state privacy rights
Residents of other U.S. states with comprehensive privacy laws may have similar rights to access, correct, delete, or opt out of certain processing. Because we do not sell data, share data for targeted advertising, or conduct profiling, most of these rights are addressed by the practices above. Contact us using the email in Section 7 to exercise any applicable right.
9. Email & text-message communications
If you ask us to contact you, you consent to receive replies by email, phone, or text related to your inquiry. Message and data rates may apply; consent is not a condition of any purchase. You can stop emails by replying “unsubscribe” or asking us to stop, and stop texts by replying STOP. We honor opt-outs promptly, consistent with the CAN-SPAM Act and applicable telemarketing/SMS rules.
10. Children’s privacy
This Site is intended for adults and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a minor has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Health information
We are not a health-care provider or health plan, and this Site does not collect medical or health information. The federal HIPAA rules do not apply to the information we collect. Please do not send health information through the form.
12. Third-party links
The Site links to third-party resources (for example, Redfin, the California Association of REALTORS®, Freddie Mac, Mortgage News Daily, the IRS, the California Franchise Tax Board, and Google News). We do not control and are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites; review their policies before providing information.
13. Data security & international visitors
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect the limited information we collect. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. The Site is operated from the United States; if you visit from the EEA/UK or elsewhere, you understand your information will be processed in the U.S.
14. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the revised version here and update the “Last updated” date. Material changes take effect when posted; please review periodically.
